If you’ve been poking around my blog for the past year and half (has it really been that long?!) I’m sure my planner addiction is no surprise. I’ve used a paper planner to organize my life since my teacher handed me one on the first day of 3rd grade. I’ve always been a fan of writing things down by hand. It’s how I best remember what I need to do not to mention I love having old journals and planners to look back on.
My planner and bullet journal posts are always my most popular but man has it been a hot minute since I last wrote one! That’s because I kind of stopped using my paper planners and went digital for the winter months. When I found my current planner at Michael’s on Black Friday I was smitten. They also had a 40% deal going on so I couldn’t resist snatching one up while I was there.
This post is what I like to call a Planner Peek post. I’ve rounded up my favorite spreads from the first six weeks of the year and shared them below. If you’re a fan of pink, this post is for you, that’s for sure. All of these images were taken directly from my instagram account. Check it out if you haven’t already! I’m always looking for more planner addicts to follow!
For a few years now I have kept annual lists of personal accomplishments and favorite memories. When I saw the layout of this page I knew it would be the perfect place for me to jot down my brightest and best moments each month. Other ideas I had for this page included monthly mantras, birthday and special event tracking, goal setting, bill payment tracking.. the list was endless.
I settled on an accomplishments page because it is SO important to acknowledge your shining moments. I can’t wait until December 31st when I look back at this page and see a full list of what I’ve done in 2017.
- Recollections 12 month planner – Michael’s
- Scrapbook paper – Michael’s
- Silver sparkly letter stickers – Hobby Lobby
Week of January 9th – 15th
This was my first ~serious spread of the year. ~Serious meaning I actually pulled out supplies that matched my intended color scheme and spent more than 2 minutes putting it together. If you were expecting a “SERIOUS” spread.. well, just look at the derpy bulldog sticker on the bottom right corner of the page.
The sidebar was used to record my tasks for the week and I threw together a habit tracker in the bottom left corner. The hearts on the bottom were used to track my daily step count. In general, I use the top boxes to write my daily to-do list, the middle row for appointments, chores and important tasks and the bottom boxes for social events.
- Dollar bill stickers – Willowfields
- Pastel credit card stickers – Wendaful Designs
- Misc. stickers – Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart
- Washi tape – Michael’s
- Bow sticky notes – TinyBees
Week of January 30th – February 5th
I will admit that I got a little lazy this week so I used a planner kit to decorate for the week. There wasn’t much going on so I didn’t get around to decorating the bottom half of the pages. Sometimes all I need are some basic to-do lists and I am good to go!
I revamped my sidebar a little bit here. I removed the habit tracker and instead started tracking my daily step count with a heart checklist. I also put a lil dumbell sticker next to the spot where I wrote down my weekly weight.
- Stickers – 99% of these stickers were from a cute Paris themed kit/monthly subscription service that sadly shut down a few months ago. The embellishment stickers (aka anything floral or football) were from Michael’s.
Current Week: February 6th – 12th
I am in love with my current weekly spread. February is my fave because I can go all out with the pink stationary supplies! This is a crazy busy week for me so I wanted to make sure that I had something pleasing to look at any time I opened my planner. I added some little heart stickers under each day where I plan to track one thing I’m grateful for every evening.
Please excuse some of the crazy crooked stickers I laid down this week. I did this during the Superbowl and I may have had one too many hard orange soda pops…
- Extra stickers from the Paris weekly kit
- Rose stickers – Violet LeBeaux
- Itty bitty heart stickers – Wendaful Designs
- Washi tape – Michael’s and Target
That’s all for this planner peek! I hope this post gave you some insight as to how I decorate my planner and the way I use it on a week-to-week basis. I’m a pretty simplistic decorator because my priority when it comes to planning is functionality. If I can’t use my planner to stay on track, what’s the point, right? Now that I’ve written this post I’m kind of inspired to decorate the rest of the weeks of February… brb, my craft corner is calling me..
This is not a sponsored post. I just love sharing where I get my stationary supplies so everyone can support the creators of these cute embellishments!
